After growing up in a military family and living in the USA, the Netherlands and Belgium, Bradford Mumpower moved to Pittsburgh in 1991, to study Architecture at Carnegie Mellon University. Due to personal family issues Mumpower only finished two years at Carnegie Mellon, though he dropped roots in Pittsburgh and made it his home. After multiple careers, he decided to attend massage school. After graduation, he created Mumpower Massage, a private massage practice. While he loved his massage work, he was missing “creating” things and having a creative outlet. In 2010, Mumpower enrolled in a beginners sewing class at Cut and Sew Studios.
Sewing reignited the creative passion he had as a freshman in the architecture department, and he began channeling his years of experience working with the human body into designing and creating garments.
